Hanami and Sakura — beyond dreamy

• early April through end May (bonus of Sakura if you go just at the end of March)
• early October through end November (September can be nice if cool and Typhoon season can be fun)
• avoid Japanese national holidays (i.e. Golden Week – April 29 through May 5, School Break – last week or two of March through first week of April)

Avoid paying premiums on hotels and visit during “off season” (traditionally late fall to early Spring). Summers are blistering hot any way.
