How to Travel
- check for deals on airline sites (Air Canada, JAL, ANA), and travel sites (Flight Centre, Expedia)
- join Air Canada’s specials newsletter (watch December for ~$500 specials + FUEL SURCHARGE)
These hand luggage will be pulling manga and doujin soon, yes they will
Flights will range in price depending on where you are, how far in advance you book, and when you travel.
I prefer to avoid weekend travel so usually fly out on Tuesday (arriving in NRT on Wednesday), returning on a Thursday (arriving in YVR still on Thursday).
For a flight this long, avoid any plane changes or stop-overs if at all possible. If you are really on a budget, you can sometimes find cheap flight paths if you are willing to change planes a few times.
Again, try travelling off season.
Check the Internet for deals. See what you can find through Flight Centre, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. Make sure they are reputable agents.
Also check the airlines themselves. Air Canada, JAL, ANA, etc. Sign up for any newsletters or promotional e-mails they might send.
Don’t forget insurance – flight and medical. It’s worth it. You never know what happens.
