Arriving at Narita
- follow the procession through Quarantine
- have Passport stamped
- you will be fingerprinted
- pick up baggage
- answer questions at Customs Inspection (women, dress down to avoid looking like a Hostess)
I seriously do not think there is a more efficient airport anywhere in the world
Narita Airport — See what you’re flying into.
Limousine Bus — Print out the schedule and verify the rates (so you can have exact monies tucked away) if you want to be extra efficient.
The lineups move along at a fairly good pace. Merely follow everyone else. Your passport will be stamped and you will be finger printed. Once you have your baggage, it’s through customs inspection.
The first time I travelled to Tokyo I looked far less like a tourist and more like a Hostess. Inadvertently, of course. But the customs inspector was convinced I’d come to Tokyo to work instead of offload some money in exchange for Otaku goods. So, ladies, be aware.
Once through customs, you are free to take your choice of transportation to wherever you are staying. I suggest the Airport Limo bus (and get another two hours of sleep).
