LINKS: Japan Travel Guides
The following are websites that are likely best investigated long before you visit Japan, and as a way for you to determine what you wish to do and see while there. These will be invaluable as part of your planning.
digi-joho Tokyo
A Guide to travel, living & business in Tokyo & Japan
This is a wonderful website, well worth spending the time exploring.

japan-guide.com
Great sightseeing information (just enough to make you curious without being too wordy) and so much more.

Japan Visitor
your complete travel & residents’ guide to Japan
Another wealth of information regarding various regions, where to stay and so forth.

Tokyo Travellers and Tourist Guide
When you’re planning your visit to Tokyo, we are all you will need!
I am always suspicious of any website that claims that they are all someone needs. I strongly encourage everyone to gather as much intelligence and review all resources possible so as to make an informed decision. I think the only exception is the Tokyo City Atlas, which I am 110% certain is THE best physical map book available (currently).
Having said that, this site offers a fairly good overview and is worth a look along with the others.

Japan Linked
Quite the resource whether you are visiting or hoping to live in Japan. The information may seem a bit random, but most of if it is fairly useful or at least insightful.

Tokyo Travel Guide
Utterly random, yet sometimes useful tips about travelling in Tokyo. These are user submitted, so take them with a grain of salt.

TokyoTopia: Tokyo Made Simple
An absolutely fabulous, highly recommended site for all your planning needs.

Yokoso Japan
One of the longest running Japan travel guides on the Internet and definitely well worth a visit (and wow, have they changed over the years!).
